Lieber ...,
schicke euch beiden dasselbe.

Today we have had our social gathering with old people again and it
was very nice. We were 9 persons and this time everybody took part at
the conversation. They all suffer from dementia and don't have any
short-time-memory left. But we found lots of funny things to talk
about and when we decided to sing some songs together, I noticed that
most of them still knew all the texts by heart. It gives me a lot of
pleasure to make them feel happy and alive.

On my way home from that meeting, my car suddenly stopped. Fortunately
I managed to start it again. And when K and I opened the bonnet to
check the oil-level, a mouse jumped out. I hope it has not gnawed at
some important tubes. :-)
Did you have a nice time at the "Mostra del gatto"? I remember once
when, in my youth, I visited one in Stockholm. We always had cats at
home and I could imitate their different sounds very well. And that's
what I did among those cats at the exhibition. They all went mad and
tried to get out oft their cages. And I still wonder, what I had said
to them. :-)
Talking of languages. No, I don't speak many of them. Just German and
French. But of course I can also understand Danish and Norwegian,
because they are very similar to Swedish. Yes, I will continue to
write to you in English, because it gives me necessary exercise..
Well, necessary for what..? ;-)
Have I already asked you if you have read a book by Alexander McCall
Smith? http://www.mccallsmith.com/author.htm
I am just now reading his "Tears of the Giraffe" one of the
books of "Ladies' Detective Agency".
It gives you a warm and lovely feeling.. like a nice cup of tea in front
of the fireplace. ;-)
Autumn is here and the days get shorter and shorter. It's already
absolutely dark outside. What a difference compared to our lovely
light summer nights.
One of these days I will plant bulbs, tulip bulbs, and I already can
see the happiness it will bring to our roe deer when spring comes. :-)

So, jetzt lasse ich dich wieder an diesem dunklen Abend.
Alles liebe und Gute dir
mit Gs und Ks
